Notice to Foreign Tourists
1. According to the relevant regulations set by the Tibetan government, foreign tourists cannot make a self-guided tour to Tibet, but should first apply for a visa to Tibet.
2. Foreign tourists should apply for Tibet Travel Permit before traveling to Tibet.
3. Tibet Travel Permit is only valid within the permissible sightseeing area. All non-tourists from abroad should apply for a permit in the embassy in the inland personally before entering Tibet.
4. Tibet Travel Permit is valid only before the expiry date.
5. Travel agencies and tourist reception departments can merely apply for a tourist visa and Tibet Travel Permit, and cannot apply for any other non-tourist visa.
6. Please send a photocopy (the original is not a must) of applicants’ passports to us or an agency 7 days in advance if you plan to apply for Tibet Travel Permit, and then we will apply for Tibet Travel Permit in time for you.
7. All foreigners traveling to Tibet should bring with an independent guide, an independent driver and coach, book a hotel room independently, form a group independently, and travel along the route independently.
